A passionately driven food fanatic.
A hunger inspired knowledge seeker.
A promoter of personal adventure.
A collector of edible experiences.
“To those who smile when they eat butter; to those who close their eyes when something is that delicious . . . you have a friend in me.” ~ Robert Anthony Navarro
Currently on his quest for the best, this collector of edible experiences studied culinary arts at the Art Institute of California-Orange County before he dove into the biggest dining adventure of his life: 100eats100days. Inspired by hunger, Robert Anthony Navarro has made headlines in multiple publications, including Taste Magazine, the Orange County Register, the San Diego Union Tribune and is a featured contributor in LOCALE magazine’s food section for his fantastical feat of dining in 100 eateries in 100 consecutive days, which he victoriously performed twice. Admitting that fast food and boxed meals like everyone’s favorite “San Francisco treat” Rice-A-Roni® ruled his childhood, Navarro has emerged with a more mature palate and an eagerness for edible adventures. He prevails as a promoter of personal adventure after having his own “Julie and Julia” moment – guided by an appreciation for art of all genres, travel to Italy, France, New York, Chicago and Canada, and a life-long eagerness to elevate his food education even at a young age. (Navarro preferred taking lunches at Wolf Gang Puck while his friends gathered at Taco Bell.) Launching his culinary curiosity into a career with instrumental stints in his teens at Crystal Cathedral Café and the Olive Garden, Navarro has been approaching the crescendo of his score de cuisine by adding more sophisticated eateries to his resume, including Charlie Palmer South Coast Plaza, Marché Moderne, The Loft at Montage and Broadway by Amar Santana. Navarro now prevails with his mélange of impressive experience as a sommelier, service professional and culinary concierge – enriching the minds of eaters everywhere and leading the food movement with his famous restaurant reviews and passionate food photography. He is host to large-scale events as well as intimate socials in support of others with diverse, artistic visions of short ribs and mashed potatoes dancing in their heads and plans to be an influential contributor to growing and building unique, new food communities around the world.
